Machinery & Equipment Appraisals · Cabarrus County, NC
German precision. Race-day speed.
Lukes Werks delivers USPAP-compliant machinery & equipment appraisals built to the thousandth and turned around faster than the field, with a specialty in the working equipment of America's motorsports shops.
01 Precision
The most granular, defensible proof of value in the field, and still easy to read. An asset is worth a number, and that number is either right or it isn't.
02 Speed
Proprietary inspection and reporting process compresses the work, never the standard. You get a defensible number back quickly, so the loan, sale or filing it is holding up keeps moving.
The specialty
The appraiser who actually knows a race shop.
Most firms specialize by asset type. We planted our flag on a market, motorsports, because the working assets inside an active race shop need valuing for lenders, estates, succession, sponsorship deals and team transitions, and nobody serves that well. We know the difference between a current-spec part and a museum piece.
- CNC mills (3/4/5-axis), engine dynos & simulation rigs
- Fabrication tooling, paint & body, machine shops
- Haulers, transporters & pit equipment
- Race vehicles, current spec and decommissioned

Experience across automotive, powersports, and the lenders who finance them.
Our great-grandfathers, on both sides of the family, built clocks that still kept time eighty years later. We were raised to build appraisals the same way.

Common questions
Answers, up front.
What is a machinery & equipment (M&E) appraisal?
An M&E appraisal is an independent, USPAP-compliant opinion of the value of machinery, equipment and rolling stock, used for lending, sale, audit, litigation, tax and insurance. Lukes Werks issues reports that are granular enough to defend and clear enough to act on.
What's the difference between OLV, FLV and FMV?
Fair Market Value (FMV) assumes a willing buyer and seller with no pressure. Orderly Liquidation Value (OLV) assumes a sale over a reasonable period; Forced Liquidation Value (FLV) assumes a fast, compelled auction. Lenders pick the premise that matches their risk, we determine and defend the right one.
Do you serve motorsports specifically?
Yes, it's our specialty. We appraise the working equipment of race and fabrication shops: CNC mills, engine dynos, sim rigs, fabrication tooling, haulers and pit equipment, plus current-spec and decommissioned race vehicles.
Are your appraisals accepted by banks and the IRS?
Our reports are prepared in compliance with USPAP by a NEBB-certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) and built to hold up to lender, IRS, audit and legal review.
